HERITAGE SEEKERS celebrate 40 years!
The Heritage Seekers Genealogy Club was organized in 1976 upon the completion of a Beginners Class in Genealogy, taught by Gloria Counts of Hot Springs, AR.
The purpose and objectives of the organization are to promote genealogical education, and to nurture friendship among its members.
All persons interested in carrying out the purpose and objectives of the organization are eligible for membership. Annual Membership fees are $15.00 per person and $20.00 per couple, payable in September.
Meetings are held at the Second Presbyterian Church, 600 Pleasant Valley Dr (I 430 & Cantrell) Little Rock, AR on the 4th Monday of every month from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., except May and December.
Special speakers each month focus on a different genealogical or historical topic for those interested in learning how to discover more about their family heritage.
If you have a program you would like to present or have speaker suggestions, please let us know.
Many of the speakers are from the Arkansas History Commission, the Arkansas Genealogical Society, the Central Arkansas Library System, other genealogical groups and some from our own membership. Speakers and discussions have been held on topics such as:
